Editorial Policy
How the newsroom handles reporting, sourcing, opinion, and corrections.
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are made by the newsroom. Advertisers, sponsors, and commercial arrangements do not decide what we report or how we headline it.
Accuracy and Verification
We try to verify key facts before publication through reporting, documents, official records, and named sources wherever possible. If a story is still developing, we update it when confirmed new information comes in.
Sourcing Standards
We prefer named sources. Anonymous sources are used only when there is a clear reason and the newsroom can still assess the information independently.
Opinion and Editorial Content
Editorials, image editorials, and opinion pieces are labeled clearly so they are not mistaken for straight news reports. Even in opinion writing, factual claims should be fair and not misleading.
Updates and Corrections
When we find a factual error, we correct it and update the page. Readers who want to report a possible error can use the Corrections Policy or contact us through the Contact page.
Sponsored and Promotional Material
Sponsored or promotional material should be marked clearly. Paid material should not be presented as independent reporting.
